Murchison Action Group (MAG) is a group of community members committed to improving the life experiences of residents and visitors to its township and district.
 
MAG plays a coordinating role in many community issues that impact on the quality of life in Murchison as well as organising and assisting in many community activities and events.
 

The group was formed in 1999 and its achievements include:

  • The beautification of the Riverbank Gardens in 2002
  • Completion of the Stevenson Street streetscape.
  • The successful rebuilding of the bridge over the Goulburn River in 2003.
  • A 2007 festival in the gardens which featured displays depicting Murchison's culture and clubs.
  • Establishment of six kilometers of bicycle and walking tracks throughout the town.
  • Currently working on the rail trail linking Murchison and Rushworth.

MAG meetings

 
The MAG meets in the RSL meeting room at the local Community Centre in Watson Street on the first Monday of every second month.

Annual General Meeting is to be held 18th October at 7.30pm.

The meeting will be held at the RSL meeting room at the local Community Centre in Watson Street.
